Johnny Chastain has a first and second place finish in the first three races of 2006. During the 2005 season Chastain and the team scored 10 wins and 30 top five finishes.

For the second year in a row ColorTyme Racing driver Johnny Chastain will be racing for Kids Across America. During the 2006 season ColorTyme Racing will again donate money for every top five finish by Chastain in the ColorTyme Super Late Model with ColorTyme Inc. contributing 50 cents for every dollar donated.

During the 2005 season Chastain and the team had a good year scoring 10 wins and 30 top five finishes on the way to winning the track championship at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue ridge, GA and finishing third in the point chase at Tri-County Race Track in Murphy, NC. After tallying the top five finishes a combined total of $1,040.00 was raised. ColorTyme Inc. put in 50 cents for every dollar donated by the team for a total of $1,560.00 for Kids Across America.

"We have always had a good relationship with Gregg Bettis and Kids Across America and like what they do for the inner-city youth," said Darryl Rose, ColorTyme franchisee and owner of ColorTyme Racing . "We came up with this idea to donate money every time the ColorTyme Grand Prix finished in the top five and the folks at ColorTyme headquarters wanted to be a part of it. It worked so well last year we decided to do it again during the 2006 season."

In 2006 Johnny is off to a flying start and out of three races has a second and a win at Tri-County Race Track.

"We had a good year last year and look forward to having a better one this year," said Johnny. "I talked with Kids Across Americas Gregg Bettis and ws impressed with the outstanding job he does with inner-city kids. Its great that the team was able to help his program through our racing."
