Ideal
Software Systems has been attending the Association of Progressive Rental
Organizations (APRO) tradeshow for 20 years. According to
Steve Lenhart, Sales Manager for the
Ideal Rent to Own software, the recently completed tradeshow in Tampa, Florida
was "the best ever."
Lenhart told RTO Online, "A lot of our
success came from the introduction of new features to TIRM (The Ideal Rental
Manager) such as tag-printing, bar-coding, and accounting modules." But Lenhart
added that the biggest hit of the show was Ideal's
Payday
Advance/Check Cashing program. "While Ideal has been servicing the Payday
Advance industry since 1989 and has over 1600 of the industry's largest users,
Rent to Own dealers are just now fully embracing the industry and recognizing
it's enormous profit potential either as an additional service in current stores
or with free-standing locations." Lenhart continued, "Probably 8 out of 10 RTO
dealers we questioned were considering entering the Payday Advance industry
including some very big players."
Compared to rental purchase, payday advance has relatively low barriers to entry
and rent to own dealers have a tremendous advantage over others entering the
business. "Running a Payday Advance service is very similar to rent to own,"
said Lenhart. "The demographics are similar, the application and collection
process is nearly identical, and rent to own professionals ability to maintain a
close relationship with customers makes it a perfect fit."
Ideal provides windows-based Payday Advance/Check Cashing software as well as,
hardware, support, software training, and general consulting for entering the
Payday Advance and Check Cashing industries.
