First time ColorTyme franchisee Jim Suchy is no stranger to rent-to-own. In fact, Suchy capitalized on two decades of rent-to-own experience to open his first ColorTyme store, here in Joliet.

“We’re independently owned,” Suchy said. “I just thought it was about time to do for myself and my family what I’ve enjoyed doing for others for so long. We’re giving our customers the opportunity to own quality merchandise, and we’re going to make each customer a part of the ColorTyme family, just as the folks at ColorTyme headquarters did for me.”

Suchy and his team will celebrate the new ColorTyme store opening throughout August at 2159 West Jefferson.

Suchy has spent the last 20 years working in the rent-to-own industry as a store manager, regional manager and training manager with several rent-to-own chains, including Aaron’s, Rent-A-Center and RentWay. ColorTyme not only offered Suchy the autonomy to run his own business, but the support system that will allow him to plan for opening five to ten additional ColorTyme locations within five years.
