Rent One, one of the nations largest independent rental purchase companies, has acquired six Arkansas locations from Staton's Rental Purchase, bringing Rent One's store-count to 42.

The acquired stores are in Jonesboro, Newport, Stuttgart, Truman, and Walnut Ridge Arkansas. Staton's continues to operate 17 locations.

Kris Lowe, Human Resource Manager for Rent One, sees acquisitions in terms of knowledge acquired. "Acquiring experienced employees gives us a huge head start in terms of training," said Lowe. "RTO industry experience also helps new employees blend into the 'Rent-One culture'."

Rent One Owner Larry Carrico pays close attention to employee development. "Larry is interested in helping people be better at their job, not just because it benefits Rent One, but because it helps the employee be a better person."

Rent One now employs over 300 people in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Arkansas. The company will open it's 43rd location soon in Mt Vernon, Indiana.
