Net Speed, a Global Media Company,
has decided to take it's computer manufacturing and retail
operations to a new level. On March 1st, the company will open
it's first Rent to Own location in Greennville Pa, a town with
favorable demographics.
William Allen, Former Rent-a-Vision regional manager, has
been tapped to direct this effort as the Director of US
Marketing.
Net Speed will rent custom configured computers it currently
manufactures under the 'Ibex' brand. The physical locations will
operate under the banner "999computerstores" with basic
configurations starting at $9.99 per week. Customers can rent
'off the shelf' or custom configure a system for delivery in 5
days. A free cell phone will be included with each unit.
William Allen
Marketing Director
"Our strategy is similar to retail. Computers will be marketed
at $9.99 per week 104 weeks with monitor rented separately.
Monitors will start at $9.99 for a shorter term."
The company will target 3.5 to 4 turns. Net Speeds approach
will be geared toward increasing keep rates by maintaining lower
rental rates.
William Allen
Marketing Director
"At Rent a Vision our return rate was 78%. I believe
we can easily cut that in half with lower rates, in-house tech
support, and service."
999computerstores will increase margins through add-on sales.
The company offers a wide range of peripherals at retail for
$9.99.
While the company will initially offer computers only, plans
are in place to expand into electronics and other traditional
RTO merchandise.
Long term, Net Speed will offer RTO dealers in the US
wholesale 'private label' systems. The website, currently under
development, will allow online configuration and ordering.
