Michael Dugan, Chief Executive Officer of Henredon Furniture Industries, Inc., today announced the appointment of Steve McKee as President and Chief Operating Officer of Henredon.

Mr. McKee, age 51, began his career with Macy's Department Stores and held a number of executive posts at Shillito's and Joske's. In 1987 he joined Gabbert's and was named President in 1995. Leaving Gabberts in 1998, he became president of the HOME Company. He joined Henredon in February 2002 and has served since that date as Executive Vice-President, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Dugan, who has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Henredon since 1987, will continue to serve as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer.

In a related move, Tom O'Connell has been appointed as Executive Vice President, Operations. Previously VP, Chief Financial Officer at Henredon, O'Connell will be responsible for the company's manufacturing and importing functions in addition to finance and administration.

Mr. Dugan commented: "These appointments are part of an orderly succession process at Henredon. While I will continue to oversee the strategic direction of the company and will be closely involved with our other companies such as Hickory Chair, Steve and Tom will undertake a much broader role in the day to day operations of the company.

His experience in the retail sector will be invaluable as Henredon continues the development of its own retail presence.
