 If
you’re in the rental business, there is One show you can’t
afford to miss. The
Nationwide RentDirect PrimeTime buying show comes to
Orlando, Florida on February 11 – 14, 2007. Nationwide Southwest
CEO Dennis Willich tells RTO Magazine why this year’s theme,
‘The Power of One’, sums up the breadth of strength and the
depth of services his group offers to RTO dealers large and
small.
In its current issue, RTO
Magazine has compiled an exclusive RentDirect Trade Show
Guide. Check out some of the vendors that will display their
latest and greatest merchandise and offer low pricing and
exclusive programs available only to RentDirect members.
If you’re a member of RentDirect, you already know you’re in
luck. You’ve seen just how powerful 7,700 storefronts purchasing
$11 billion in merchandise can be. If you’re not a member yet,
then we’ve got to ask - what are you waiting for? After all,
this group could be The One.
“The theme for this show, The Power of One, was originally put
together as we got to thinking of how we could best express all
of the different areas where we provide support to our members,”
said Dennis Willich, Nationwide Southwest CEO. “When a company
joins our group, it’s not just because we provide them with
better deals on their merchandise. It’s because we are a source
for training, education, financing, warehousing, advertising
support – you name it and we provide it to our members. Our
improved MemberNet internet site is loaded with every trick in
the book.”
Willich says rental members benefit from the massive buying
power of Nationwide’s large base of independent retail dealers.
But he stresses that the group’s rental customers are no less
important.
“My personal background was as a vendor and I worked closely
with the state rental association in Texas. At that time, there
was nothing like this geared toward the rental dealers and so we
worked with Nationwide, an existing independent retail buying
group, to get something started. Today, we are so proud to
represent over 230 rental companies and it grows all the time.
But we’re probably more proud that our retention rate is so high
– about 98.9%. We rarely lose a member and that’s how we know
we’re providing the value our members deserve.”
In fact, the value works both ways as RentDirect has opened
several manufacturers’ eyes to just how lucrative the rental
industry can be. But Willich is quick to give credit to several
within his organization for making Nationwide RentDirect such a
force to be reckoned with.
“I have a saying and this is truly how I live my life. The sum
of one never surpasses or eclipses the sum of the whole. For
Nationwide RentDirect to be as successful as we have, it takes
hundreds of people working together across nine different
regions of our company. We fit together like a glove and we
truly live and breathe this thing. Every person who works at
Nationwide RentDirect is filled with a passion for helping
