Employee uniforms have begun to expand beyond the prevalent but predictable denim shirt/khaki pant combo and into a wider range of shirt and pant styles.

"Things are getting a little dressier. We've seen a shift from twill to more oxford-cloth shirts. And while ties are still seen as a bit intimidating, more companies are moving to a nice oxford shirt with a pressed pair of pants," said John Howard, a partner in PromoBiz.

"But the biggest shift we have seen in this industry is a wider array of options for female employees. Instead of unisex sizes that were made with male employees in mind, there are better colors and more shirts cut specifically for women. Maybe that's part of the reason why more pastel colors have become popular, too."

PromoBiz has provided "wearable" programs to thousands of RTO locations over the years. They specialize in flexible arrangements with customers and offer all RentDirect members 30-day credit terms on their merchandise.

Rental dealers can choose their approved pieces from PromoBiz's extensive catalog and most orders are received within 7 to 10 working days. Because of their network of suppliers, PromoBiz is able to pass on their low prices even to customers who place a small order quantity. A dealer who orders just 3 or 4 shirts will receive the same low price as a dealer who ordered 100 shirts.

For larger customers, PromoBiz can also provide password-protected online ordering of warehoused logo merchandise to save customers the trouble of managing the inventory themselves. Uniform pieces are shipped within a day or two of receiving the order and the client does not pay for the merchandise until after it is shipped.

PromoBiz has strong relationships with both domestic and international manufacturers who help them deliver quality products at reasonable prices. Current major clients include Meijer, RadioShack, Pier 1, SBC, KB Toys, Buddy's, Bestway Rental, National RTO and many others.
