Every time rental dealers spend advertising money marketing their store outside its walls, it's a gamble. You never really know if that television ad, radio spot, or mailed circular is going to pay for itself with an increase in business. But experts say that a print-on-demand signage program is one sure way to increase the perceived value of your merchandise, and enhance the in-store effectiveness of your external marketing program.

"We conducted a research study with Ernst & Young that showed how consumer purchases were influenced by the type of information included on merchandise signage. When a store switched a hand-written sign to a printed sign, there was a 28% lift in business. When that store discounted the merchandise on the printed sign, there was a 66% lift in business from the hand-written version. And, when the store used a printed sign that included features and benefits of the merchandise along with the discount, there was a 148% lift in the amount of merchandise sold."
Rowe understands there is a need for rental stores to include lots of legal information on in-store signage, and says his company's StylusŪ Sign and Label software is up to the task.
"The program is open-ended so you can design your signage to include all necessary information plus features and benefits that will help close the sale. The program makes it fast, easy and inexpensive to create very professional and effective signage. It's economical and efficient and it can be done simultaneously with printing your disclosure requirements. Rental dealers spend thousands of dollars on flyers that maybe give them a half-percent return rate. But whatever you spend on in-store signage gives you a 100% return on investment.
