There is no denying that video games have become an important part of the rental assortment.

"Just like a customer wants to see a clean, bright showroom, and talk with helpful and knowledgeable sales people, they also want and expect to see the latest in home electronics. Sales within the video game industry for 2007 will come in at $15 Billion. Industry projections put 2008 sales near $19 Billion. Certainly this is a category that cannot be ignored," said Denis Rosen, National Sales Manager for Florida State Games.

Video games now offer the consumer an array of features such as HD DVD, Blu-Ray DVD, and hard drives to down load any type of content from music files to photos. Oh, and they play games, too. The latest technology allows customers to play video games on line and experience playing someone anywhere in the world.

"The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are each the closest thing to that'all in one box' the manufacturers have been striving for. The capabilities of these machines are astounding, and we have the knowledge that will help rental dealers explain the features and benefits of these machines to customers. In fact, we pride ourselves on customer service and we offer extensive product training for manager meetings, company trade shows or just whenever needed."

Further driving the gaming category to record-setting sales is the fact that there is now a video game console available for everyone, regardless of any economic threshold.

"From consoles featuring different sized hard drives to Blu-Ray ready out of the box consoles, the choice is yours. I firmly believe this Good, Better, Best selection is responsible for the increased consumer appeal."

The Nintendo Wii has taken the gaming category by storm, offering interactive game play for kids and adults of all ages. It's a fun, user-friendly, and less expensive alternative than the PS3 or Xbox 360. The Nintendo Wii has become a family system that parents and grandparents can play with their children. And the Wii comes boxed with a sports disc that has 5 different games on one disc.

The portable gaming category continues to explode with the Nintendo DS for the younger child. And Sony offers not just one but three models of the Sony PSP. This amazing handheld system can handle UMD movies, memory cards for downloads, and what was that other thing? Ah yes, games.
