Were it not for government intervention ie Title IX women would not be even reasonably close to equity and thinking that they would is foolish and wishful thinking. I would be the last person to suggest dependency is the way to go on any one, but leveling the playing field so that independence has a chance is a vital necessity. Women like Carrie Lukas are our own worst enemies. In 10 years of research in women's empowerment or lack of it, it is women who provide the impetus to become empowered individuals as opposed to dependent ones looking for imaginary TV families of the 50's. Wake up guys, we are treated like 2nd class citizens now and will be until our representation in government is equal to our membership in the population
