Tim Hogan is one of the few people
to have been successful on two continents. Since starting as an
account manager for a Rent-A-Center franchisee in 1986, Hogan, a
self proclaimed "nuts and bolts guy", has made rent to own
companies profitable by focusing on creating value for the
company and the customer without loosing focus on
rent-and-collect.
Hogan was attracted to ColorTyme by the possibilities. He sees
the personal relationships franchisees have with their customers
and communities as a distinct edge over the competition.
Hogan's other specialty is alternative revenue streams; big
ones. From developing payday loan and check cashing programs, to
call centers that literally manufactured customers, his focus on
revenue growth is laser-like.
RTO Online interviewed Hogan Saturday at the ColorTyme Winter
Operations Meeting in Dallas, Texas. Tim Hogan interview
excerpt: I'm a nuts and bolts guy. In my career, in Florida,
as well as in Scotland, I was always behind the growth guys. You
have the sales people in front and as they quickly move on to
develop another area, left behind is a store that has a bunch of
units on rent and little thought given to collecting and making
money. That is my forte.
