The Texas Association of Rental Agencies (TARA) will hold it's 2007 TARA Legislative Conference February 4-5, 2007 at the Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas.

"TARA continues to focus on passing a Constitutional amendment concerning property tax on rental inventory," said Vicky Hale, Executive Director of TARA.

TARA has been working toward the amendment for several years. After passing the Texas House of Representatives 137-0 in 2005, (see story), the constitutional amendment to exempt rental inventory from property tax died in the Senate. TARA leaders are confident confident the measure will eventually pass.
