Earning more than 60 CES Innovations Awards over the past four years, LG Electronics is consistently among the most-honored companies.

LG Electronics unveiled its 2008 LCD HDTV lineup - Eight series, 24 models, 17 with "Full HD" 1080p display capability with screen sizes ranging from 19- to 52-inches. The line features multiple design and technological innovations, including a 1.7-inch thin LCD, a wireless HDTV and a model with LED backlighting technology.

A new invisible speaker system tuned by renowned audio expert, Mark Levinson, further accentuates the LCD HDTV line. This unique system incorporates speaker actuators around the perimeter of the entire bezel, eliminating traditional speaker drivers and associated grills. This not only allows for a sleek, finished look, but also offers a wider "sweet spot" by creating a virtual "wall" of sound.

The new LG LCD line includes other advanced features including TruMotion 120Hz technology, wireless connectivity and Image Science Foundation custom calibration certification (ISFccc) provide more options for consumers seeking premium LCD HDTV performance.

LG Electronics also received CES 2008 Innovations awards in five Categories. The Consumer Electronics Association recognized LG Electronics for excellence in design and technology with 14 prestigious CES 2008 Innovations Awards, including the CES 2008 'Best of Innovations' in the video display category for LG's 50-inch single-layer design 1080p "Full HD" plasma HDTV (model 50PG60).

LG Electronics products were honored in the Video Displays, Video Components, Personal Electronics, Home Appliance, and Wireless Communications categories.
