ColorTyme franchisees arriving in Memphis for this week's annual convention and tradeshow (see agenda) were treated to skybox seats in Auto Zone Park for a Memphis Redbirds home game against the Nashville Sound (The AAA farm teams of the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers respectively).

The Redbirds lost 4-1 after the Birds' Bo Hart grounded out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth.

After the game, the capacity crowd gave a standing ovation to 100 immigrants from more than a dozen countries who took the "Oath of Allegiance" to become naturalized citizens of the United States. The group was then treated to their first 4th of July fireworks display as U.S. citizens from center field of Auto Zone Park.

The Oath of Allegiance reads as follows: "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

100 immigrants from more than a dozen countries took the "Oath of Allegiance" after Tuesday's game to become naturalized citizens of the United States.

Trivia - Prior to 1906, there were as many as 5,000 different versions of the Oath of Allegiance. Every court in the U.S. had it's own version. The current standard version was codified in 1920.
