A $400 million privately held national home furnishings retailer is planning entry into the Rent to own market and is searching for qualified individuals to lead the effort.

According to Nancy Brereton of Signium International Meridian Partners, the firm handling the search, "This is a key management position to launch a fully integrated, stand alone start-up business within a privately held $400 million company." The individual will be primarily responsible for the operational aspects and management related to the development and initial launch of the test market stores." The company plans to grow the business to meet a long-range plan of 100+ rent to own locations.

Brereton added, "While the company is committed to serving its traditional core customer base and markets, they see a significant opportunity in the rent-to-own market. The initial business plan outlines opening 3 flagship stores in Central Florida over the fiscal year beginning July of 2004 and ultimately growing to approximately a 100 stores within a three to five year period."
