Philips 3D
displays, based on WOWvx technology, are designed to deliver
out-of-screen 3D effects without the need for special glasses or
filters.
The company will also show new innovations to its Aptura
lighting technology including new LCD backlighting employing
LEDs, and the world's first 120Hz scanning backlight for high
LCD picture quality.

One of the key components of the Aptura lighting technology is
the High-Output fluorescent lamp, called HCFL. According to
Philips, Aptura lighting technology is capable of producing
three times more light than conventional LCD backlight units and
enables development of flat panel screens of up to 66 inch.
