Our critics say Rent to Own is too expensive. I
contend that Rent to Own is not only inexpensive, but ridiculously
inexpensive. You just have to know what it is that you're selling. I propose an experiment. Before you read the
rest of this article, ask any one of your employees or co-workers the following question...
"What do we sell?"
Then call any competing Rent to Own in the phone book and
ask the same question.
You will likely get one of three responses.
-
Furniture, Appliances, and Electronics
-
We rent Furniture, Appliances, and Electronics with the
option to buy
-
We don't sell anything, we rent Furniture,
Appliances, and Electronics
All three answers are incorrect. Answer #3 is close...but
no cigar. We sell a service that is unique.
We sell the use of an item for seven
days at a time
and we do it at a ridiculously low price.
Think about the amazing value. A customer can call at 9:AM
and, by Noon, have an entire living room suite delivered for $19.00. They
can call a week later to have it picked up and the only response they here
is "Thank you very much for your business, is there anything else I can
help you with?" Try that at Sears, or Wal Mart. Ask one of
your neighbors..."Hey Joe, I want to use your 60" big-screen for a week, here's
40 bucks. And, by the way, don't scratch the walls when you deliver it."
