A festivity-filled evening on Thursday, April
22, opening day of the
International Home Furnishings Market in
High Point, N.C., will honor
National Home Furnishings
Association’s two Retailers of the Year for 2004.
This year’s recipients of the retail home
furnishings industry’s accolades are Jeffrey Sheldon Child,
R.C.
Willey, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Cherie Rose,
The Rose
Collection, Los Gatos, California. Child is the winner in the
over $10 million category and Rose in the under $10 million
category.
A panel of judges selects the Retailers of the
Year from a slate of candidates nominated by all segments of the
home furnishings industry. Criteria for selection are:
contributions to the industry; community involvement; and
leadership of the winners’ own companies.
The April 22 gala in the ballroom at the
International Home Furnishings Center is held in conjunction
with the International Home Furnishings Representatives
Association which also will present awards during the evening.
