Chevys are in honor of Aaron Rents 50th anniversary year in
2005.
A fully restored 1955 Chevy was the
prize for 2005's Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership Store of the
Year.
Aaron's awards Store of the Year in two categories; Company
owned stores and Franchise stores. Tony Rodriquez, GM of store
C0054 in Pinellas Park, Florida earned the award for best
overall company store. Alfonso Trevino, GM of store F300 in
Eagle Pass, Texas earned top spot among franchise locations.
The 55 Chevys are in honor of Aaron Rents 50th anniversary year
in 2005.
Dell Computers was named Vendor of the year. Michael Dell,
founder and CEO of Dell, was unable to attend. Dell accepted the
award via a taped message played during the ceremony.

Warrick Dunn (Atlanta Falcons, Pro Bowl nominee, The Sporting
News’ Good Guy in Sports winner); Kurt Warner (Arizona Cardinals
QB); and Shelton Quarrels (Tampa Bay Buccaneers player) attended
the award ceremony to thank Aaron’s for their role in the
Homes for the Holidays charity, founded by Dunn. Homes for
the Holidays provides deserving single mothers with a completely
furnished home. Aaron's supplies all furnishings for the homes
including furniture, appliances and electronics (see
story). In his remarks, Dunn thanked Chairman Charlie
Loudermilk for his generosity saying, "Aaron's has never failed
to be there when we needed them."
Earlier Wednesday, Aaron's General Session was held at the
original Grand Ole Opry.
The General Session was kicked off by country-western star Trish
Murphy.

thunder-sticks to kick off Wednesday's General Session.

Company founder and chairman Charlie Loudermilk spoke to the
2,000 attendees about the Aaron's value-based culture. He said
every Aaron's associate should be unwilling to compromise core
values of Integrity, Trust, Teamwork, Accountability, Truth and
Excellence.
Jim Mora, Atlanta Falcons Head Coach, was the session's keynote
speaker. Moro stressed the importance of having a “passion to
win” and the high price you have to pay to be a winner.
