We're
doing more to protect consumers with this legislation, than
anything that's on the books here, than anything that's on the
books anywhere in this nation.

Wisconsin Representative
Jeff Stone
(R 82) defeats liberal opposition the old fashioned way - with
calm, cool logic. While Democrats engaged in theatrics,
comparing Check Cashers to Adolph Hitler and Rent to Own dealers
to Ghengis Kahn, Stone used a little over 4 minutes of floor
time Thursday night to calmly explain the undeniable logic of
the Wisconsin
Rental Purchase Agreement Act.
The Act recognizes rental purchase agreements as a lease, rather
than a credit sale and protects consumers by strictly defining
disclosure requirements.
