Bruce Beck is just getting started,
but he’s clearly on a roll. The Seattle businessman opened his
second
ColorTyme rent-to-own store late last year, just six months
after opening his first location. Beck’s new store is in Auburn,
Wash.
Like with any new business, location is paramount. Beck’s
ColorTyme store is located on Auburn Way North, a main drag
that’s estimated to have 30,000 cars pass down the street every
day.
“We looked at several sites but when I came across the town of
Auburn, I knew I wanted to invest here,” explains Beck. “The
people of Auburn have a hometown attitude that is business
friendly, something that appeals to me both as a business owner
and as a family man.”
Beck has been in rent-to-own (RTO) for 24 years. In June of
2006, he converted his Home Town Rental store in Seattle into
his first ColorTyme franchise. Located at 10421 16th Avenue
South West SW, it has played a role in the rebirth of the
Seattle’s White Center neighborhood.
“I’ve seen several generations of families come into my store,”
says Beck. “Our customers are loyal because we keep our word.
However, as an independent dealer, your buying power is limited.
But with ColorTyme, I can do larger volume and provide a deeper
selection, something that will keep my customers coming back for
generations to come.”
The Auburn ColorTyme store allows customers to rent and own high
quality furniture, computers, digital electronics and home
appliances without requiring a credit check, contract or
incurring debt. Because many customers often need a new
appliance in an emergency, most pieces are delivered on the same
day, fixed or replaced immediately.
