easyhome (EH.TO), Canada's largest rent to own company, has appointed John Natale as Vice President of easyhome U.S. Holdings Inc., a subsidiary of easyhome Ltd., effective immediately.

Natale began his career with Rent-A-Center in 1983 and progressed with the organization to become Regional Director responsible for the operations of approximately 70 U.S. locations in New York, Vermont and Western Massachusetts. Mr. Natale left Rent-A-Center to become General Manager for a franchise operation, which he expanded over the last 10 years until it was recently acquired by Rent-A-Center.

Former Rent-A-Center Chairman & CEO Bud Gates will be easyhome's Master Franchisor. Gates has exclusive rights to franchise the easyhome concept anywhere in the United States, outside the border states. Podcast interview with Bud Gates, Master Franchisor, easyhome.

Mr. Natale will be located in Albany, New York, U.S. where easyhome U.S. plans to open an office that will accommodate a management team which will be responsible for developing operations in the 14 states that border Canada. All accounting and other support functions will continue in the Edmonton, Alberta office, Canada.

easyhome operates 191 stores in Canada. The company recently announced its intention to expand into the US by opening company stores in the border states and franchising throughout the country.

easyhome CEO David Ingram said earlier this month that entry into the US market is a key element of easyhome's long-term growth. Ingram said, "The time is ripe for us to launch in the U.S."
