Nearly 1 million shares (3 times average volume)
traded hands today as Rent A Center shares
rose 7%. This move comes on the heels of yesterday's 'double whammy'
announcement of a 10% increase in guidance for the first quarter, and a proposed
settlement to the pending gender discrimination lawsuits.
While the settlement is expensive, it
will allow RAC to focus on improving it's already stellar performance for the
year.
