The Consumer Rental Purchase Agreement Act

Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) is the latest co-sponsor to S884; Senate version of The Consumer Rental Purchase Agreement Act.

The addition of Daschle brings the Senate cosponsor count to 24; 12 Democrat and 12 Republican. Senator Daschle joins South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson (D) as a rent to own industry supporter. Johnson signed on as a cosponsor in April, 2003. (click herefor list)

As Minority Leader, Daschle's cosponsorship of the Rental Purchase Agreement Act virtually insures support (or at least no significant roadblocks) from democrats in the Senate.
