GoVideo today announced its D2730
Networked DVD Player has won the 2003 'Best of What's New' Award
from Popular Science. Carefully selected by Popular Science as a
product that represents a significant step forward in Home
Entertainment, the Networked DVD Player made the final cut after
a review of thousands of new products and innovations from
across the U.S.
Introduced
to the public in July, the GoVideo Networked DVD Player is the
first product of its kind with the capability to stream movies,
music, and pictures through a wireless or wired network from a
computer to a consumer electronics component. The Networked DVD
Player combines a slim-line design and high-end styling to give
consumers networking capability bundled with the features and
functions of an advanced DVD player.
The Networked DVD Player is on display today in
New York at Popular Science's 'Best of What's New Award Showcase
Event' located at Grand Central Station's Vanderbilt Hall.

In addition to its streaming capabilities, the
GoVideo Networked DVD Player comes with many sophisticated DVD
features including a Progressive Scan output that provides
enhanced quality picture, and a built in Dolby(R) Digital
decoder giving consumers flexibility in their surround sound
applications. GoVideo's StreamLink(TM) technology, developed in
partnership with Digital 5, enables music, movies and pictures
stored on the PC to be accessed on the TV or home entertainment
system through either a wired or wireless home network.
