Scott Savell has resigned from the executive team of Premier Wheel Rentals, a Premier Companies division.

In a statement issued today by Trooper Earle, Chief Executive Officer of The Premier Companies, Earle did not list specifics but cited increasing differences in operational philosophy. "It became apparent at a recent management meeting that Mr. Savell wanted to pursue a different direction for our business, one that runs contrary to the proven formula for success that has made The Premier Companies what we are today," said Trooper Earle. "We are more committed than ever to supporting individual RTO dealers as they launch and develop their own franchised locations. We also differed on the investment that degree of support requires. The Premier Companies have always been willing to invest whatever resources were required to give our dealers their best chance to succeed."

Savell joined Premier in 2005 when the wheel rental division as formed.

Earle added, "Premier Wheel Rentals will move rapidly to develop an even stronger infrastructure to support our current as well as future Premier Wheel Rental dealers. Premier has a unique advantage in our industry. The members of the executive team of The Premier Companies are available to assist all our different business entities, not just one in particular. This new direction in the management philosophy of Premier Wheel Rentals will allow enhancements in purchasing, marketing, human resources, communications and operations, among other areas, to be launched immediately. In addition, we will now begin the search to find a seasoned wheel-and-tire professional whose skill set can take Premier Wheel Rentals to the next level of development."
