The following appeared in the Clovis New Mexico Police report
for Wednesday, 10-15-03...
...About 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, police received a call regarding a
washer and dryer stolen out of a mobile home on the 800 block of Siesta Lane.
The resident said she was in the process of moving out and had found the washer
and dryer missing that morning. A broken window in the home had only recently
been repaired and the resident said she suspected that had been the point of
entry.
The washer and dryer had been rented from a “rent-to-own” business in Clovis and
not been fully paid. Police found a note on the outside of the mobile home
signed “neighborhood burglar.”
