Corporate ownership of Pearson-Vail, LLC, has changed, according to an announcement today by Geron Vail, president. Pearson-Vail is the entity doing business as Furniture & Appliances Now sales and leasing, a chain of 18 stores, headquartered in Jonesboro.

Vail has purchased the interest of long-time friend and partner Fred Pearson. No changes in the operation of the company are foreseen, and the two men will continue to work together in other ventures.

Over the past 18 months, Pearson-Vail has acquired additional locations in Little Rock, Paragould, Conway, and Russellville. Many of its 18 stores are being renovated and remodeled on an ongoing basis. According to industry reports, FAN is currently the largest independently owned sales & leasing firm in Arkansas, and has grown into one of the largest privately owned chains in the country.

Under Vail’s leadership, Furniture & Appliances Now has undergone a transformation from traditional Rent To Own transactions, into “Sales & Leasing.” Vail explains that the transition was designed to expand the company’s customer base by appealing to new, non-traditional customers who are looking for competitive cash purchases, while allowing FAN to continue to service customers where credit is not an option.

The company offers a variety of ownership plans. The options are cash, four to six months same as cash, lease-purchase, or lease-purchase with an early purchase option discount.
