A man of few
words, but his words always counted. He had a way of instantly
cutting through the clutter.
Cary McPherson, long time friend of Gordon Crenshaw
Gordon Crenshaw, universally
respected and viewed by many as the man most responsible for
giving the Rent to Own industry it's start, passed away early
Wednesday morning at his home in Garland, Texas. He was 65.
While with Borg-Warner and later Transamerica, Crenshaw was
responsible for financing the early start-ups as the RTO
industry was in it's infancy. Gordon recently retired from Rent
Way.
Crenshaw is survived by his wife Glenda, two daughters, Lori
Turner and Monica Knight, as well as 5 grandchildren.
Cary McPherson, long time friend of Gordon's described him as
"A man of few words, but his words always counted. He had a way
of instantly cutting through the clutter."
