The distribution model that makes Coaster so appealing to rental dealers is one that offers a large selection of continually-warehoused merchandise that can be quickly shipped from any of seven strategically located warehouses.

After 25 years as a sought-after vendor providing quality import goods for the retail furniture industry, Coaster Company of America is being introduced to the rental-purchase industry via events like the recent RentDirect Nationwide buying show.

"We've been a Nationwide Marketing Group vendor for more than ten years. When they added RentDirect, becoming more involved with rental dealers was an ideal solution for us due to the nature of our product line and our distribution model," said Larry Furiani, Vice President of Dealer Relations for Coaster Company of America.

The distribution model that makes Coaster so appealing to rental dealers is one that offers a large selection of continually-warehoused merchandise that can be quickly shipped from any of seven strategically located warehouses.

"Our distribution system provides a quick turnaround time for rental dealers who want to minimize their requirements for inventory on hand. And there are no minimum requirements for placing an order. We ship less than a pallet load all the way to full truckloads or even container loads."

Furiani says Coaster has a 'point-to-point' delivery system that moves product efficiently and effectively often in less than 72 hours and even in as little as 24 hours.

"We have the systems in place that allow us to quickly and accurately price FOB from any one of our seven facilities to anywhere in the country. We can even offer terms on our freight, when necessary, through relationships with one of RentDirect Nationwide's financial partners such as Capital Solutions. And we are careful to work with contract, not common, freight carriers to control damage to merchandise during shipping."

Furiani says Coaster is committed to tailoring their offerings to the needs of rental dealers as they continue to learn more about this growing segment of their business.

"We want to provide turnkey solutions for rental dealers. We currently offer 3,000 different items and we want to make it easy for dealers to put together ensembles at a single unit price. For example, we can offer a living room with coordinating tables and lamps. And we have some incredible values on merchandise such as a 5-piece table and chair set that will ship in a single box for $149."

Coaster offers mid-price up to high price point furnishings for dealers who want to venture into more upscale items.

"We are proud to offer an array of product that extends from a $100 dinette set to a $1,000 or higher formal dining room group. We are always looking for ways to develop synergy between a dealer and ourselves and build value into our merchandise."
