Our hearts
go out to all those impacted by this tragedy. We have
employees, customers and vendors who have been directly
impacted and we want to help the recovery in a significant
way
Dave McIlquham, Sealy CEO
Sealy has made a
commitment of
$1 million in cash and product donations to the American Red
Cross to support
the disaster relief efforts of Hurricane Katrina. Given the
immense
devastation and toll on human lives, Sealy believes the
combination of
immediate cash relief as well as products will provide aid to
the area.
CEO Dave McIlquham said, "Our hearts go out to all those
impacted by this
tragedy. We have employees, customers and vendors who have been
directly
impacted and we want to help the recovery in a significant way."
In addition to the $1 million contribution, Sealy has formed a
fundraising
challenge with employees across its domestic operations and will
continue to
collect donations through September 16. Long-term, Sealy is
working in
concert with the American Red Cross, our plants, vendors and
suppliers to
determine the best way to support the relief efforts and provide
needed
assistance to neighbors in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama,
Florida and
surrounding areas.
Our thoughts go out to the families and communities who have
lost loved
ones, homes and businesses. For additional information on how
you can help
with disaster relief, please visit
