Russia’s
rapidly growing computer market is reflected by the 800 percent
growth in the number of Internet users over the past seven years
to approximately 28 million.
Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO, Dell
Dell will open its first Russian
store the new Gorbuskin Dvor
retail center in Moscow this October. The store will be managed
by Nexus, a Dell Partner.
Dell products are sold at other retail locations in Moscow along
with product from other computer companies. This store is the
first in the city and only the second store in Europe to be
dedicated to selling only Dell product.
Michael Dell, chairman and CEO, announced the opening of the new
store in a media briefing in Moscow today. “Russia’s rapidly
growing computer market is reflected by the 800 percent growth
in the number of Internet users over the past seven years to
approximately 28 million," said Dell. The company expects demand
for PCs to double over the next four years.
Dell products will be demonstrated in the store, allowing
customers to learn more about the products and what will be the
best choice for their particular requirements. In addition to
products, the store will also have a service outlet for handling
warranty repairs on Dell products.
The Moscow store is the latest in Dell’s plans to reach more
customers globally through partnerships with retailers. Other
recent announcements have included offerings in Wal-Mart and
Sam’s Clubs in North and South America, Bic Camera Inc. of Japan
and Carphone Warehouse in the United Kingdom.
