Michael Dell, chairman and CEO, announced the opening of the new store in a media briefing in Moscow today. “Russia’s rapidly growing computer market is reflected by the 800 percent growth in the number of Internet users over the past seven years to approximately 28 million," said Dell. The company expects demand for PCs to double over the next four years.

Dell products will be demonstrated in the store, allowing customers to learn more about the products and what will be the best choice for their particular requirements. In addition to products, the store will also have a service outlet for handling warranty repairs on Dell products.

The Moscow store is the latest in Dell’s plans to reach more customers globally through partnerships with retailers. Other recent announcements have included offerings in Wal-Mart and Sam’s Clubs in North and South America, Bic Camera Inc. of Japan and Carphone Warehouse in the United Kingdom.
