The 26th annual Association of Progressive Rental Organizations (APRO) Convention and buying show begins Tuesday September 19th and runs through Saturday September 23rd at the Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando, Florida. “APRO’s annual convention is a special time for all rental dealers. It’s a great opportunity to buy products, to learn more about the business of rent-to-own and to share moments with friend both old and new. We’re looking forward to another great convention in Florida," said Bill Keese, Executive Director of APRO.

APRO is offering a vastly expanded seminar schedule during the convention. Sixteen different seminars presented by eighteen different presenters covering such varied topics as "Trends in Electronics" by LG Electronics Vice President Bob Perry (see interview with Bob Perry) to "Why Smart People Do Dumb Things" by Dr. Larry Helms, founder of Trainergy. Steve Ford, son of former President Gerald R. Ford, will keynote this year's General Session. Ford's unique perspective on life as the President's son encompasses a broad range of fascinating subjects: being 18 years old and having 10 Secret Service agents as constant companions; his father's pardon of President Nixon to help put an end to the infamous Watergate affair; two assassination attempts on his father's life and his mother's bouts with alcoholism and breast cancer. View video of Steve Ford.

RTO Online will report daily from Orlando during this months convention. Check www.rtoonline.com for photo galleries and updates.
