Taxes are
inevitable for most customers. Turning them into an income
stream for a rent-to-own dealer takes planning.
Steve Minish, head of business development for eTax Partners
Just a few weeks remain to meet the December 1 deadline for
launching an in-store tax preparation program. "Time is
running out," said Steve Minish, head of business development for
eTax Partners.
"But the process of getting everything set up is
straightforward and easy, so RTO dealers who act soon can
maximize their return on this service and generate huge profits
during the coming tax season. Taxes are inevitable for most
customers - turning taxes into an income stream for a
rent-to-own dealer
takes planning."
According to Minish, it takes four to six weeks to get a free
Electronic Financial Identification Number (EFIN) issued by the
IRS. The next step is a 30 minute employee training session with
e-Tax. The final link in the chain is getting the word out to potential
customers.
"Dealers will want time to market their tax service to make
the most out of their efforts. One popular promotion centers on
an 'IRS Inventory Reduction Sale' concept that encourages
customers to get their refund in time to purchase that large
screen TV for Super Bowl. And there are many others."
Minish directs interested dealers to the
eTax demo to see how easy it is to use the program. "The goal is to make tax preparation profitable
without the headaches associated with other revenue generators.
It practically works on its own."
"My hope is that dealers who are interested in
signing up to offer tax prep services do so soon. This will
enable them to fully utilize a great opportunity to make upwards
of $10,000 or more in extra profit in just a few weeks this tax
season. At e-Tax, we make it easy to get a tax prep service
started in any RTO store with zero financial investment and no
liability."
