The Premier Companies, franchisor of four Rent to Own brands, announced today that Mark Gow, nationally known speaker, will headline The Premier Companies General Session at the 2012 Premier National Convention January 9-11 in Key West, Florida.

Mark is a practicing HR executive with an impressive resume currently working in an organization within multiple international locations. Mark will talk about how to improve the performance of your group through more effective leadership, a better understanding of what motivation really means and how to communicate in a way to make others more receptive to your ideas.

For over six years Mark has been a Director of HR for IAP World Services in Cape Canaveral, Fl. IAP is a government contractor with over $1.2B a year in revenue and over 5000 employees throughout the world. In addition Mark is the Chief Spokesman and Chair of IAP’s Center of Excellence for Labor Relations.

Prior to joining IAP Mark spent six years as the Director of Benefits and Compensation for Johnson Controls World Services and 16 years with Lockheed Martin Corporation in a variety of HR positions including the Manager of Compensation, Benefits & Systems for the Space Shuttle Processing Contract at the Kennedy Space Center.

Mark has been a featured speaker at several conferences including Marcus Evens, the American Society of Training and Development, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Florida Health Care Coalition and many others. He has consulted with and spoke at meetings with several organizations including Astra Zeneca, Merck, the FAA, Convergys, HBCE, Blockbuster, FIT, the US Coast Guard and Fieldcrest.

Mark is currently writing a book titled “Fear Less Leadership” scheduled to be published the first quarter of 2012. He is a former member of the Leadership School Staff for the US Coast Guard and the Co-Chair responsible for developing a youth leadership academy for the Red Cross.
