The fact that RTO
Pro has been in Windows since the release of Windows '95 allows
us to quickly and affordably meet the evolving technological and
operational needs of the RTO Industry.
Ron Ganus, President RTO Pro Software
Over 800 rent-to-own locations know
the many advantages afforded them by running their business on
RTO Pro software.
Unfortunately, that's not the case for the estimated thousands
of dealers running management systems that Ron Ganus, former RTO
store owner and current President of RTO Pro Software, says are
"stuck in the IT Dark Ages of Unix, XENIX, Linux, and even DOS."
For those dealers, finding the hardware needed to run their
software can be difficult, if not impossible. "New development
on those systems is slow and tedious," Ganus said. "And good
luck finding a new parallel-port laser printer compatible with
DOS to print rental agreements. If you are lucky enough to find
one of the few models still available, you'll pay a premium for
an obsolete printer starting at about $500. And what personnel
today can troubleshoot a bug or develop new functionality in any
non-Windows software package?" Ganus added that, "To today's
programmer, that software may as well be written in ancient
hieroglyphics."
By utilizing Windows from its start, RTO Pro has achieved a
built-in, distinct advantage. According to Ganus, "The fact that
RTO Pro has been in Windows since the release of Windows '95
allows us to quickly and affordably meet the evolving technology
and operations needs of the RTO Industry."
State-of-the-Art Equipment:
RTO Pro will operate on any affordably-priced computer that will
run Windows XP, Vista or Server 2003. These computers are
readily available from leading RTO Distributors or big-box
retailers. RTO Pro's Windows-based software quickly prints
customizable laser agreements, payment receipts, letters and
numerous forms easily and interfaces with any number of USB
laser printers, receipt printers, and inventory label and
barcode printers. It readily accepts data from credit card swipe
readers, barcode readers, inventory data-collectors, document
scanners, web-cams and a host of other technologically-advanced
peripherals.
Unprecedented Development:
The latest Windows database and programming systems allow RTO
Pro to quickly and inexpensively add new functionality to its
long list of industry specific features – often at no additional
charge.
According to Ganus, "The RTO Pro software is much more than a
simple RTO POS package."
RTO Pro has built-in features for store-level and home office
rent to own, short term rentals, retail sales, installment
sales, revolving charge sales, cash advance loans and check
cashing.
Ganus elaborated on his company's advancements, "Through
hundreds of product upgrades since RTO Pro's Windows debut,
we've released advanced store management features including:
integrated credit card processing; on-screen collections and an
automated collections module that will call and play recorded
messages to customers; integration to popular accounting
packages such as QuickBooks and Quicken, integrated WYSIWYG word
processing to customize contracts, letters, invoices and other
forms; laser printed rental agreements; bar-coded inventory
control; integrated document imaging for scanning drivers
licenses, applications etc, destination-based sales tax
functionality, and an integrated employee time clock."
Latest Enhancement - Automated ACH Processing:
The newest enhancement to RTO Pro Software is the addition of
automated ACH processing which gives the RTO dealer the ability
to automatically charge individual or recurring payments to a
customer's bank account.
"Setting up the automated ACH system is a simple process. Once
the customer signs an ACH Authorization form, which can be
printed directly from RTO Pro, dealers enter the bank account
and routing number and the information is stored securely by RTO
Pro. Once set up, processing 1 or 1000 recurring payments and
ACH debits is a one-click process," says Ganus.
ACH functionality is built in to the base RTO Pro product at no
additional charge. Processing fees are 25 cents per transaction
and a $10 monthly fee per company (no matter how many
locations). There is a small $1 return fee.
