USA, April 1 - RTO Magazine, the leading print publication for the rental-purchase trade, in conjunction with RTO Online (www.rtoonline.com), the leading source of news and for the rent to own industry, today released its 2nd Annual "Top 50 - What's Hot in Rent to Own Consumer Electronics" list. "We asked the leading U.S. distributors of electronics to predict, based on early 2008 sales data, the products that will most impact the rental industry in 2008," said Roy Griffaw, founder and president of RTO Online Inc. and publisher of RTO Magazine.
The list was compiled by RTO Magazine editors with the help of five leading rental-purchase industry suppliers: D & H Distributing, DSI Systems, New Age Electronics, ALMO and Nationwide Warehouse Direct/SED International.

Acer notebooks and flat panel televisions figured prominently in this year's Top 50. Three out of the five distributors included Acer in their top 10 CE rental products and nearly half of the Top 50 are flat panel TVs.

Editors took special note of the TIVO HD DVR from D&H Distributing with TivoToGo and multi-room Viewing.

Rounding out the "Hot Electronics" list for 2007 are portable electronic accessories including the latest in gaming, audio and GPS technologies.

Manufacturers and suppliers in all categories are increasingly recognizing the vast market potential of the rent to own segment. "Electronics are the primary traffic generator for the rent to own industry," said Griffaw. "RTO Magazine will continue its leadership in the sector as the most effective method of introducing new products and services to rent to own companies throughout North America."

Manufacturers with products on the "Top 50 Hot Electronics" list include Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, TIVO, Panasonic, Haier, Canon, Garmin, Sony, JVC, Mitsubishi, Sylvania, Hitachi, Kodak, Sharp, Samsung, Coby and RCA.
