The regional approach to rent to own industry tradeshows is a hit with dealers and vendors alike. Next week's second annual Midwest RTO Expo in Columbus, Ohio is a perfect example. "We are on our way to breaking last year's attendance mark," said Tony Craig, Rent-Way Communications Supervisor and ORDA (Ohio Rental Dealers Association) Secretary. ORDA is the primary sponsor and organizer of the event. 

The two day tradeshow will be held August 23-24 at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio (See agenda). Experts will present seminars on subjects as varied as Contemporary Collections, Furniture Repair, and Customer Service.

Acclaimed speaker Hal Becker will keynote the Expo. Becker's reminds us that, "Getting the customer is easy; it's keeping the customer that's the hard part." As all of us are aware, there is nothing new in selling and customer service. Hal's fun, upbeat approach goes back to basics. He will show the fastest way to improve your customers' satisfaction and your company's image. Attendees will learn how to understand the customer's needs, how to build long-term relationships, and why "creative opportunities" are essential in ensuring exceptional customer service."

Attendance at last year's Expo topped 300. The show is popular with store managers who can more easily attend the regional, education driven two day event. As of today, registrations include owners and employees from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kentucky, Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, and Kansas. More are expected to register by show-time and on-site.
