One of the group's
primary goals is to show support for industry supporter Senator
Mary Landrieu (D-LA). Landrieu sponsored The Consumer
Rental-Purchase Agreement Act of 2003 and 2005 in the Senate and
testified in favor of The Act before the Senate Banking
Committee in 2004 (see
story with audio of Landrieu testimony ).
LRDA has built up a significant "war chest" and Neyhart intends
to use that fund to support politicians that understand the
important role the rent to own industry plays in Louisiana's
economy.

Rental Dealers Association meeting in Baton Rouge this

Success Rentals lost two thirds of its customer base after
Katrina. The company's monthly revenue dropped from 225,000 to
65,000 overnight with little reduction in expenses. Tom and Lisa
Neyhart have spent two years rebuilding their business.

Neyhart also serves as vice president of
PJM Enterprises , an
executive placement firm specializing in the commercial
construction industry. PJM has offices in Louisiana and Florida.
