has raised $717,709 for Big Brothers Big Sisters in the past
3 years
Rent-A-Center (RCII) announced today that it has donated $256,748
to the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) national office in
Philadelphia. That amount stems from a spring fund-raiser and
includes a matching grant of $100,000 from the Company. For one
dollar, customers and individuals showed their support of BBBS
by signing a paper egg that hung on counters in RAC stores.
"Rent-A-Center is committed to the mission of Big Brothers Big
Sisters and has raised a total of $717,709 during the three
years we have been doing this," said Rent-A-Center Chairman and
CEO Mark Speese. "Our campaign makes it easy, affordable and
convenient to show support for this great organization."
"We are extremely grateful to Rent-A-Center and its customers
for their continued support of our mission to help children
reach their potential through professionally supported,
one-to-one mentoring relationships with measurable impacts,"
said Judy Vredenburgh, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big
Sisters.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest and largest
youth-mentoring organization in the country serving youth ages 5
through 18, in one-to-one mentoring relationships in 5,000
communities in the country.
