Senators Evan Bayh (D-IN) Max Baucus (D-MT) have agreed to co-sponsor S884, the senate version of The Consumer Rental Purchase Agreement Act.

The addition of Bayh and Baucus brings the Senate cosponsor count to 18 and gives Democrats the edge in Senate support (10 Democrat vs 8 Republican). 18 cosponsors puts John Raffaelli, founder and chairman of "The Washington Group", a lobbying firm retained by APRO., only slightly behind his prediction of "20 by mid September".
