LG Electronics appointed John B. Weinstock as vice president of marketing for Digital Appliances. Weinstock, who joins LG Electronics from Johnson & Johnson, will be responsible for leading the U.S. marketing and advertising programs for LG's kitchen and laundry appliances.

"John's consumer marketing and brand-building expertise will support our momentum in the U.S. market and help position the company for continued growth and profitability," said John Herrington, president of LG Electronics USA, Digital Appliances.

"I believe that my experience will be a good fit with LG's brand and product strategy," said Weinstock.

LG also unveiled a first-of-its-kind digital high-definition television (HDTV) Refrigerator at this week's 2007 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas.
