Rent One, one of the nations
largest independent rental purchase companies, held it's 11th
Annual Charity Golf Outing. The event raised
$15,000 for
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of St Louis
The Ronald McDonald House
provides a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill
children who are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.
Money was raised through a combination of hole sponsors, raffle
tickets and donated auction items. "Our vendors always step up
for the outing," said Larry Carrico, owner of Rent-One.
 Rent
One operates stores in 4 states. So why Ronald McDonald House in
St. Louis? Carrico explained that Rent One customers often use
the service. "Last year over 600 families from areas surrounding
Rent One locations used the Ronald McDonald Homes. The cost of a
one night stay is $5.00." Carrico added, "The greatest benefit for the families is
the ability to share with others in a like situation. Instead of
being in a hotel room they are able to live in a home
environment."

In December Larry Carrico was elected as a director of Ronald
McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of St Louis. He serves on the
Community Development Committee and is primarily responsible for
getting the word out to local communities about RMHC's services.
