Any type of change is a challenge in the beginning. People enjoy
their comfort zone, and often don't want to deviate from it. Be
that as it may, breaking out of the comfort zone is often
necessary to advance, and progressive RTO owners understand
this.

At the recent Nationwide Primetime!
Buying Show, Eugene Sacco, CEO of DATATrue, was asked for his
recommendation on how to motivate RTO employees to use a new
product such as DATATrue?
His answer can be summarized by saying that it is important to
remember that people are resistant to change. It is part of
human nature. The key to facilitating change is the decision
maker's initial mindset. "Commitment to change is a mind-set of
doing whatever it takes to effectively implement change,"
(Robert Keinter & Angelo Kinicki, 2007). In simple terms: You
made a decision to use a product because you researched it and
found it to be important to your long term business success.
Sometimes it simply takes putting the foot down and saying "it
is a ‘must-use' so we can continue to perform in our business
for the reasons we got into business in the first place;
PROFIT!"
DataTrue is a provider of a high-tech real-time customer
information verification system developed a system specifically
for rent to own companies.

Any type of change is a challenge in the beginning. People enjoy
their comfort zone, and often don't want to deviate from it. Be
that as it may, breaking out of the comfort zone is often
necessary to advance, and progressive RTO owners understand
this. I often hear dealers in the RTO industry discuss the need
to think outside the box. To insist on positive change, is to
think outside of the box.
Change comes in three distinct forms: Adaptive Change where a
re-introduction of a familiar practice is desired. This practice
generally has a very low degree of complexity, cost and
uncertainty and experiences the least level of resistance for
change. Innovative Change is when a new practice to an
organization is made and shares a middle level of both
complexity and resistance. Then there is Radically Innovative
Change that is on the high end of complexity and resistance.
The introduction of the DATATrue product line generally finds it
roots in both adaptive change and innovative change. Almost all
RTO and Payday Loan Companies have a written policy stating that
information must be verified before a transaction can be issued,
so the DATATrue service can't be considered radical. But then
again a lot of employees simply just don't verify as they
should, costing managers, owners and companies untold amounts of
bottom- line loss. DATATrue is more a reintroduction and
innovative improvement since the all-in-one service is new to
the industry.
Any change in an organization requires a view of the "big
picture." Just consider your losses or all the times you were
frustrated, or even angry, by a person who ripped you off. How
often is it because you were lied to at the time you did the
initial transaction? How often have you told yourself - "If I or
my employees had only verified the information or banking
relationship before the product left the store, I wouldn't be
collecting on it now?" These types of questions are excellent
motivators to embrace verification change.
Another motivator to embrace change can be summed up by asking a
simple question: "Why does this organization exist?" If the
answer doesn't include profitability then you are doing okay.
But if profit is somewhere in the equation and you have been
"taken to the cleaners a time or two" in the past, then perhaps
it is time to consider how a change such as DATATrue can help
you to get your bottom line back IN line!

The DataTrue demo is designed to teach an observer what the
DataTrue process looks like, how fast and simple it is to
operate and, most importantly, it's value to the RTO bottom
line. Some of the features reviewed during a Demo are:
- DataTrue Basic – DataTrue's primary real-time information
verification service with individual transactions for 97 cents
each.
- DataTrue VISA/POS – NSF solution for RTO's that accept check
payments. With the DataTrue Visa/POS service, users can access a
customer bank account up to 9 times to check the account
balance, leaving NO footprint. If/when funds are available,
users can freeze the funds & they will be transferred to the
user's account automatically. There are more banks that allow
this, then don't.
- DataTrue ACH – If it turns out to be a bank that doesn't allow
fund freezing, users can still use DataTrue to ACH funds from
any banking institution and lower the back end loss from NSF
items.
- Transferring to 3rd party collections
- Credit Report review (with and without a score)
- Reference Verification and Social Security Search Services
