The American
Red Cross to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. The $1.1
million dollar check will be presented by Ashley Furniture
executives and representatives of the 200 Ashley Furniture
HomeStores to Donald Paxton, Executive Director of The American
Red Cross Relief Disaster Fund today at Ashley's facilities in
Ecru, Mississippi.
In a statement issued today, the company said "After seeing
such extreme devastation and tragedy, Ashley Furniture
Industries and all the Ashley Furniture HomeStores are showing
their support by giving back to those who have lost so much.
Ashley and the Ashley Furniture HomeStores realize there is a
tremendous need to rebuild right now. This donation is given to
show our support for all of the families that lost their homes
and help them get their lives back to normal."
