RTO Online recently conducted a poll on "Card Close". Over 52% of those responding reported 'Higher than 10% past due Saturday Close'.

Ask any owner which location has the best performance and, inevitably, they will name the one with the best card close. It is a universally accepted measure of a Store Manager's performance. Methods of calculation vary slightly from company to company, but no other variable will more directly affect your profitability.

RTO Online interviewed 21 year industry veteran Jay Roberts on the importance of card close and how it affects store performance. Following is that interview.
