Mike and Jill Houseworth are on
track to do exactly what they set out to do as husband and wife
and partners in Full House-Dallas, Inc. The pair has opened
their most recent store in Irving after being named one of the
top 10 ColorTyme franchisees
in the country three times (based on sales and mature store sale
averages) and ranked the second ColorTyme franchise in the
nation in 2004.
Those milestones make sense to Houseworth, a former military man
who has spent the last 24 years with ColorTyme and attributes
much of his success to the rent-to-own industry where passion
and performance are rewarded in measurable results.
“Being a ColorTyme franchisee is one of the truest examples of
the American dream,” says Houseworth. “This is an industry where
passion and dedication directly affect your level of success.
I’m surrounded by people who have created their own destiny -
going from manager trainees to franchise owners because of their
work ethic and passion for this business.”
Houseworth got his start in the industry in 1982 working for
another ColorTyme franchisee in New Haven, Conn. He later became
a ColorTyme franchisee in 1987 and went on to build and sell
several of his ColorTyme stores in Florida and Pennsylvania and
now lives in Dallas. The Houseworths’ Irving store is one of
three ColorTyme locations, with two others in the Dallas-Fort
Worth Metroplex.
ColorTyme, Inc. is the oldest franchised rent-to-own or rental
purchase company in the United States with nearly 300 stores.
