The Consumer Affairs Committee of the New Jersey State Assembly has scheduled a hearing for A3851, the New Jersey Rental-Purchase Consumer Protection Act for this Thursday, 5-12-05.

The groundbreaking legislation (New Jersey is one of only 4 states without RTO legislation) was introduced in March (see story) by Assemblyman Wilfredo Caraballo (D) and has a dozen co-sponsors as of today (5-09-05).

The hearing will be held at 10:00:00 AM Thursday, May 12 in the Consumer Affairs Committee Room 8, 3rd Floor, State House Annex, Trenton, NJ.
