Johnny Chastain, driver of ColorTyme Racing's #00 GRT Pontiac, put the Randall Twiggs owned and wrenched Blondes Motorsports GTO in victory lane for the seventh time this season Saturday night at Tri-County Race Track.

Chastain's seventh victory of the season was enough for the team to clinch the 2006 Late Model championship at the third mile clay oval. Since he began driving for Twiggs four years ago, Johnny Chastain has won the championship at Tri-County three times.

"I feel very fortunate to win the races and the championships we have won in the last four years," said Johnny. "Randall (Twiggs) gives me a winning race car night after night and he along with our sponsors and everyone that helps are the ones that enable me to win. They are the ones that deserve the credit."

Johnny, who is the defending Late Model champion at Sugar Creek Raceway, leads the point battle again this year. He is favored to win his fourth championship at the Northern Georgia oval for a two-championship season.
